Best club
2010-05-28
There is no doubt. Bro Hof GC is the best club I´ve been to. I´ve just figured it out..jpg&width=800&height=600)
New bag. Odessey month..jpg&width=800&height=600)
This will look soooo good in a few weeks when the grass grows up a bit and turns yellowish and sways in the wind..jpg&width=800&height=600)
This is exactly as it should be. The greens are so packed so the divot repairer gets twisted. Perfect!!!.jpg&width=800&height=600)
Most fun shot in golf..jpg&width=800&height=600)
Ok clubhouse....:)

Gothenburg is sweet
2010-05-26
Hello hello!
Vallda Golf Club is a very cool golf club! Spent the last two days there. A links course outside Gothenburg. Sounds kind of weird but almost true. The greens are firm and you can see the sand in between the grass blades. Exactly how it should be. No thatch there. No no. And cool guys in charge.
Fors works there and we've had good days. The most serious practice ever. Wow, I'm not used to that. I need it.
I wonder one thing. How the hell do the marathon runners run so fast for so long. I don't care if you're from Kenya where the air is thin. Running at 20 km/h for 2 hours is unreal. It has to be like shooting 45 over 18 holes. Not kidding. Tried running intervals today outside for the first time. 333 meters intervals at a 20 km/h pace so each interval takes 1 minute. 1 minute rest in between each interval. I managed 4 today. So, again, those marathon runners are seriously incredibeble or I'm the worst trained person in the world..jpg&width=800&height=1066)
What's up Ponta Eliasson! My caddie at Loch Lomond last year. Met 4 of his family today. Probably 4 more tomorrow. They're everywhere!
One more day in the studio. Feels like I'm improving. Life is good.

Weather problems
2010-05-25
At an airport now, a real schock. Not. A lot of airports it is. Since we travel so much we tend to get bonus cards that will get us in the fast tracks and airline lounges amongst the real business people. To say the least, I felt a little out of place with sneakers and a hoodie when they are all dressed in snobby suits. I heard that a lot of golfers used to travel in suits back in the day but I'm so glad when I can dress down a bit off the course. We have enough clothing rules on the course.
Was thinking about going back to my college town Stillwater, Oklahoma. There is always a question of the weather if you're going there. It's freezing in the winter. Super windy in the spring. Deadly hot in the summer and brilliant in the fall. Found this video on youtube showing how bad it can get. This is cool!
Do you guys love the snooze button as well? It's becoming my favourite button. Specially at 4.45 in the morning.
See you in Gothenburg.

Good mood
2010-05-24
In a seriously good mood this morning. Just came up with a good plan for the next few weeks. I'm gonna try to get into "college mode". Not as much flying around, no F1 watching, nothing else than golf. In college, we just went out to the course every day around lunch time and went back to the apartment and the books (that's a lie) and then back again the next day. We had so much time for practice. Now, I try to have time for everything. Flying here, flying there. Not the best way if you want to get back into contention.
My swing work with Rikard Fors is going good. I'm gonna give it more time now. A few days at his place will do a lot of good.
Last week at Wentworth was a good one. Didn't finish up too well but it was still good. The changes made the course tough. The greens were rock hard over the weekend and you had to really play strategic. The pins were tucked away and a lot of the times, you were happy with a 8 meter putt for birdie. Normally, we go for pretty much everything:) The greens are usually softer and therefore shortsiding yourself isn't too bad. Here, you had impossible bunker and flop shots when shortsiding. Fun sometimes to try the impossible. Actually, you can always stop the ball with the flag or the hole so nothing is impossible.
The course had two different courses within it. 1st hole to the 11th was the first. You try to be under par here to give yourself an opportunity to post a good score. 12th and in played really tough.
The average clubs into the last holes:
12th par 4: Driver, 6 iron
13th par 4: Driver, 5 iron
14th par 3: 6 iron
15th par 4: 3 wood, 2 iron (nowhere to hit the driver)
16th, 17th, 18th played shorter but hundred times trickier with the new changes.
Not trying to be negative, more just to give you a feel for the course you might seen on TV over the weekend.
Had a really sweet workout session yesterday and heading for another one now to get in a good state of mind before the three days with Rikard.
My swing is a lot better already and we are working on getting it shorter and more on plane. It will look a bit more upright instead of around. Somebody sent me this from youtube. It's from last week.
