Bucket day
2010-05-05 Went to Turkey for a few days and heading to Sweden on thursday night. Haven't been in Stockholm in forever and will be fun to see all the guys and Bro Hof again.
A whole day of work yesterday. Felt good to take care of the swing stuff right away. I was really pissed off last week at my game. Shortgame was fine but long game dreadful. It's coming though. The new stuff is great and it's easier to do on the range then on a course where the rough is 6 inches tall just outside the 20 yard wide fairways (if they were that wide even?). But, 10 buckets of controlled technique shots yesterday did a lot of good. And the putting green here is good as well. When the hands hurt too much, I putt until the hands feel ok again...can't remember the last time I didn't have to put on tape on the fingers before hitting or playing.
I read the conversation you guys had in the comments box underneath my last blog entry about how to fund professional golf at the start of a career. It's a tough thing to do...I started playing a few tournaments in Sweden close to home and earned a little bit of money and I also got a few local sponsors who are members at my home club. Those helped me get going and I could travel to ET Tour School in 2005. Got on Challenge Tour in 2006, and started ok and earned some money in the first few tournaments so I could keep going. A good thing many players do is to arrange a tournament at your local club and try to earn money from the entry fees from the members. I'm sure they would all pay up a little bit to support a home club player who wants to give it a chance.
Taken a lot of pics lately and here are a few:
Done.
Short green.
Cool store.
12 buckets now. Like my old assistant coach at college used to say. "Without blood on the fingers, you haven't practised". I shouldn't take things to literally maybe...

3 flights of sleeping
2010-05-03
Woke up like so many nights before...still in my clothes and no alarm is set. Luckily my own alarm went off before the plane left. So it's all good. 3 flights ahead of me and I need all those hours of sleep. And to relax my brain. It's been a hard week mentally. Discussed it yesterday with Mikko. If you are a little bit off your game it's a good mental test to see the ball drop down deep in that rough time after time...
"Ghostwriter" movie last night. Good.
2 weeks of the hardest practice I've done. I can honestly say I'm so pissed off at playing bad I'm more motivated than ever ever to get my game into shape. I know I can do better and I was pleased after my 8th finish in China but the last two weeks has been tougher.
Orlando style practice week now. Wake up at 6 and fall asleep at 8.30. That's the best. And I almost finished that protein jug. Almost.
See you in a little:)

New Coach
2010-05-01 Helloooo!
- Tough day. +3.
- Good practice.
- Good gym.
- Motivated.
- Changed swing coaches. Read about it in Swedish at: http://www.golf.se/Folja/Nyheter/2010/4/Noren-byter-tranare/ I owe so much to Pete Cowen and I think he is super good but we needed to change things up a bit and I'm now working with Rikard Fors who also coaches Peter Hanson, Johan Edfors and more good players.
- Jamon Iberico for second dinner after downing the biggest protein shake I've done. See how my stomach holds up.
- Planning trips. Sweden with a lot of news and fun things for the weekend.
- Grand Prix in Monaco but mostly golf for us. Two friends coming down. One golfer and one movie maker/junior art director so we're gonna make sure he gives us some nice videos of the action on the track and on the golf course. Any suggestions or wishes?
- Few pics:
Colin.
New hats. Christmas. Feeling like a baseball coach in them.
View over a booring part of Seville. Colin is moaning about how good this city is but the tv-show 24 got my attention. Jack NEVER GIVES UP. I'm gonna think of Jack when it goes against me on the course...or as Colin so nicely put it today out there: "It's amazing how this game kicks you straight in the balls hard when it's already been kicking for a while". Maybe not word for word but you get the point...
One more round to go in Seville. Gonna give it my all and then re-evaluate what I need to work on. This is not cutting it...that's for sure!

Dejavu
2010-04-30 Thought the cut was gonna be level par so didn't think any extra over my last par putt to stay 1 under par. But it seems like that cut will be 1 under so I just made it. Feels good to make it. My game stills feels like crap sometimes and sometimes I pull off shots I didn't know I had.
Mr King Edfors played really sweet! 8 under today and leading. He said he couldn't hold on to the club last few holes yesterday because of blisters so once again...A player worrying more about IF he can play is most of the times more dangerous than a player thinking about HOW he will play...
Dinner then bed...and then golf again early in the morning. Dejavu:)
